Kockatoos Local Discount Manager helps Shopify merchants manage local collection-based discount campaigns and apply price updates to product variants. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.
Information We Process
The app may process shop information, including the shop domain, Shopify plan information, app subscription status, access tokens required to use Shopify APIs, collection data, product and variant pricing data, and local discount campaign records created by merchants.
How We Use Information
Information is used to authenticate the shop, display collections and products, create and manage local discount campaigns, apply or deactivate price changes, track processing status, store failure logs, and manage app subscription eligibility and billing flows.
Data Sharing
The app uses Shopify APIs to read product and collection data and to write product variant price updates requested by the merchant. We do not sell merchant data. Data may be shared with infrastructure providers only as needed to host, operate, secure, and support the app.
Data Storage And Retention
Local discount records, processing status, and failure logs are stored in the app database. Shopify session data is stored so the app can securely authenticate API requests. Data is retained while the app is installed, except when a merchant deletes records in the app or Shopify sends a privacy request that requires deletion.
Customer Privacy Requests
The app does not intentionally store storefront customer profiles, customer order history, or buyer contact details as part of its discount management features. If Shopify sends a customer data access or customer redaction webhook for a store, the app verifies the request and responds to Shopify. If any covered customer data is later added to the app, it will be returned or deleted according to the applicable request.
Shop Data Deletion
When the app is uninstalled or Shopify sends a shop redaction webhook, stored app data for that shop is deleted from the app database, including Shopify session records, local discount campaigns, processing status, and failure logs, unless retention is legally required.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect app data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so merchants should also use strong account security practices in their Shopify admin and hosting environment.
Merchant Controls
Merchants can delete local discount records in the app and can uninstall the app from Shopify admin to revoke future API access. Price changes already written to Shopify products remain in Shopify unless the merchant deactivates a campaign or updates prices manually.
